After School Club The After School Club (ASC) provides a fun, structured environment where students can relax with games, sports, and crafts, while also having dedicated time to complete homework. The program is open to youth in grades 1–8.
City Academy of the Arts-Torrance City Academy of the Arts – Torrance provides advanced arts instruction and professional training alongside accessible classes in theatre, music, dance, and visual arts.
Day Camps Torrance Day Camp is led by trained and caring recreation staff and provides kids and teens with a safe, active, and inclusive environment filled with creativity, sports, adventure, and opportunities to build lasting friendships.
Swim Lessons & Classes Located at the Victor E. Benstead Plunge, we offer youth and adult swimming classes, private swim lessons, and special events for all ages and abilities.
Early Childhood Education Program Our program helps children ages 3–5 learn, grow, and get ready for kindergarten through play-based learning in a safe, nurturing environment.
High School Programs Recreational and educational programs are available for high school students in grades 9–12 from Bishop, North, South, Torrance, West, and Shery High Schools.
Middle School Programs Students in grades 6–8 can take part in fun, creative, and healthy activities in a safe, supervised environment. These programs encourage socializing, building friendships, and positive experiences.
Pickleball and Tennis We’ve partnered with Rec to make it easier for you to reserve local sports courts, try new activities, and connect with the community—including all pickleball and tennis programs at Torrance’s public courts.
Senior Centers and Programs Adults age 50 and older are invited to take part in a wide range of programs and activities across Torrance’s three senior centers, including arts, fitness, social events, and lifelong learning opportunities.
Youth Sports We offer youth sports leagues for children in grades K–8 that encourage physical activity, teamwork, and community connection. Programs include basketball, flag football, volleyball, cheer, and more.
