Day Camps

Join your favorite Recreation staff for days filled with festive crafts, games, and winter activities! If weather permits, each day will include a walking field trip. Frost Fest will take place at Greenwood Park, where campers will participate in group activity rotations based on grade level (Grades 1–8). Choose one day or all five days of camp!

You must call the Registration Office at least two (2) weeks prior to the start of camp if you wish to cancel, obtain a credit on account OR obtain a refund. No credits or refunds will be issued after this time.  A 20% administrative fee will be deducted for each week in which a refund is given.

Torrance Day Camps offer an inclusive and positive environment where campers stay engaged and active.  

Torrance Day Camp at Greenwood Park

Grades: 1-5 | Hours:9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. | Extended Care: Available until 6:00 p.m. for $75 (R) / $85 (NR)

Each two-week session runs Monday through Friday and includes arts and crafts, games, a visit to the Plunge, and one special excursion. Campers are grouped by age and participate in a variety of rotating activities each day.

Teen Camp at Greenwood Park

Address: 1520 Greenwood Ave., Room 28

Grades: 6–8 | Hours:9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. | Extended Care: Available until 6:00 p.m. for $75 (R) / $85 (NR)

Each two-week session runs Monday through Friday and includes walking field trips, arts and crafts, sports, a special excursion, and other engaging activities designed for middle school students.

Sports Camp at Wilson Park

Address: 2200 Crenshaw Blvd. - Wilson Park Field Office (the blue building between Softball Fields 2 and 3).

Ages: 8–13 | Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Each two-week session runs Monday through Friday and includes a variety of sports, a trip to the Plunge, and a special excursion. Sports may include basketball, cheer and dance, volleyball, softball, and soccer.

Mini Day Camp at La Romeria Park

Address: 19501 S. Inglewood Ave.

Ages: 5–7 | Hours:9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Each two-week session runs Monday through Friday and offers arts and crafts, sports, games, entertainment, themed events, interactive performances, and activities that help campers make new friends.

Fees and Registration

 Fees are listed for residents (R) and non-residents (NR). All new enrollments and additions must be completed by 5:00 p.m. the Thursday before camp begins.  Registration is tentatively scheduled to begin May 11, 2027.

Day Camp T-shirts cost $8 each and are mandatory for all excursions and field trips. Shirts must be purchased in advance.

Camp shirts may be purchased and picked up at the City of Torrance West Annex (3031 Torrance Blvd.).

 Pick-up hours are Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.  Shirts are not available for purchase at camp.
