Adaptive Recreation and Sports

We offer adaptive recreation programs for teens and adults ages 12 and older with intellectual disabilities. These programs focus on social connection, physical activity, and community involvement.

People Actively Learning and Sharing

A fun social club for ages 12 and up with intellectual disabilities. Activities include:

  • Bingo Nights
  • Beach Walks
  • Dinners & Shopping
  • Movie Nights
  • Monthly newsletter
  • Access to Adaptive Sports

Annual Fee (Jan–Dec)

  • $20 – Torrance Residents
  • $25 – Non-residents

This year-round program offers the following sports, with weekly practices (locations vary) and competitions throughout Southern California.

Registration & Requirements

Sports are offered on a seasonal basis. Registration occurs in January and August. Special Olympics registration and medical releases are required prior to participation.
