When an emergency happens, get important information quickly with TorranceAlerts, the City of Torrance’s early warning notification system.
TorranceAlerts is a free mass emergency notification service that sends alerts about events such as earthquakes, fires, public health emergencies, and similar situations. Alerts are sent when the City needs you to take action, such as evacuating, avoiding an area, or sheltering in place. Notifications can be delivered by phone call, email, text message, and through the TorranceAlerts mobile app.
TorranceAlerts should be part of your personal emergency preparedness plan. Residents are encouraged to sign up and customize their subscriptions to choose the types of alerts they receive and how they receive them.
