The Office of Emergency Services coordinates the City’s planning, training, and response efforts for all emergencies. We work with departments, partners, and the community to strengthen preparedness. Our goal is to protect lives, property, and essential services during disasters.
Our top priority is keeping Torrance safe during disasters. We help the community get ready for emergencies, ensure a fast and effective city response, and support recovery every step of the way. We lead citywide safety efforts, maintain up-to-date emergency plans, and partner with the community through alerts, training, and events to make sure everyone is prepared.
