Raw Water Pipe Installation Project

This notice is to inform you of the traffic impacts related to the Water Replenishment District’s raw water pipe installation on Madrona Ave (at Del Amo Blvd to Emerald St) and Del Amo Blvd (at Madrona Ave to Mariner Ave) for Monday, September 14th, 2026, through Friday, September 18th, 2026.

 

Left turns from northbound Madrona Ave to westbound Garnet St will be prohibited.

Southbound Madrona Ave. travel will be reduced from three lanes to one lane at Garnet St to Emerald St.

Westbound Del Amo Blvd. travel will be reduced from two lanes to one lane at Madrona Ave. to Mariner Ave.

Eastbound Del Amo Blvd left turn lanes to Northbound Prairie Ave will be reduced from two lanes to one lane.

Thru traffic must turn right from eastbound Garnet St. to southbound Madrona Ave.

 

Although delays are expected, the goal is to complete the work as safely and quickly as possible. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

 

Artesia Blvd. Sanitation Project Lane Closure

The Los Angeles County Sanitation District will begin construction of a new pumping station in the City of Gardena starting on Tuesday, 6/24/25 and lasting for approximately (30 months). As part of this project, traffic modifications will be in effect along Artesia Boulevard between Van Ness Avenue and Western Avenue.

A worksite traffic control plan will be implemented to ensure safety and maintain traffic flow, including temporary lane striping and delineation. There will be no lane closures, whereby two lanes will remain open in both directions (eastbound and westbound) throughout the duration of the project.

We encourage all drivers to exercise caution when driving through the area and to adhere to posted traffic signs and instructions.

PCH Lane Closures - Pavement Rehabilitation

Multiple lane closures will occur on Pacific Coast Highway between Pennsylvania Ave. and Palos Verdes Blvd. though Friday, October 30 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. to perform pavement rehabilitation, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) curb ramp upgrades, construct bus pads, sidewalks and bike lanes, upgrade gutter and drainage systems along with applying new striping for the lane lines. Construction will be performed Monday through Friday.

Residents and local businesses located nearby may experience noise, vibrations and grinding associated with construction activities. The schedule is weather permitting, and all dates and times are subject to change. Detour signs will be posted. Motorists should expect delays and are strongly advised to use alternate routes. Construction is scheduled from Winter of 2023 / 2024 through Winter 2027 / 2028. Cost is estimated at $48.2 million. RJ Nobles Inc. of Orange, California is the contractor.
