The City's Sanitation Division, in partnership with the Community Services Division and LA Compost, is working to support California's SB 1383 goals by diverting organic waste from landfills. As part of this effort, we're gauging community interest to help us explore whether a community compost hub could work in our City.
Join us at the Farmers Market on Saturday, July 25, where LA Compost will host an informational booth and a fun, hands-on "Make Your Own Potting Soil" activity. Stop by to learn about the benefits of composting, ask questions, and share your interest in bringing a community compost hub to our City. We hope to see you there!
