This year’s Cherry Blossom Cultural Festival has concluded. Check back for information about next year’s event.
Each spring, we host the Cherry Blossom Cultural Festival at Columbia Park (4045 W. 190th St., Torrance, CA 90504). This free, family-friendly event brings the community together to celebrate the beauty of blooming cherry blossom trees with live cultural performances, artisan crafts, and food for purchase.
The cherry blossom trees at Columbia Park were donated by Soka Gakkai International. Community partners, including the North Torrance Homeowners’ Association and the Torrance Craftsmen’s Guild, also help support the festival. In Japanese culture, cherry blossoms—known as sakura—symbolize renewal, hope, and the fleeting beauty of life, making the trees a meaningful centerpiece for this celebration in Torrance.
