Proclamation Request

Our Mayor and City Council value the chance to recognize and thank Torrance residents, service organizations, and businesses for their contributions to our community and civic life.

We offer several ways to honor your contributions:

  • City Council Proclamations
  • Community Announcements (read by a Councilmember)
  • City Certificates

We'll work with you to determine which type of recognition best fits your situation. We reserve the right to suggest a different form of recongition than you originally requested or, in some cases, may not be able to fulfill a request.

Proclamations will not be issued for:

  • Campaigns or events that conflict with city policies or guidelines
  • Political or religious matters
  • For-profit businesses (as advertising or commercial promotion)
  • Events or organizations with no direct connection to Torrance
