The City of Torrance, in partnership with Rolling Hills Plaza LLC, announced that Nordstrom Rack will join the tenant mix at Rolling Hills Plaza, further strengthening the center’s position as a leading retail destination in the South Bay. Rolling Hills Plaza LLC, the master tenant of the center and managed by Torrance-based La Caze Development Company confirmed the upcoming arrival of Nordstrom Rack and has notified the City of Torrance of a new sublease agreement.

The national retailer is planning to occupy the former Bed Bath & Beyond space along Pacific Coast Highway, one of the region’s most visible and well-established retail corridors. Located at the center of the South Bay coastal communities, Torrance serves a retail market with a daytime population of nearly 1.2 million and an aggregate income exceeding $52 billion, making it an attractive destination for major national brands seeking high-performing coastal locations. The approximately 30,000-square-foot space will be transformed into a premium value retail destination offering a wide selection of apparel, accessories, and home goods at competitive prices. The Torrance location is one of only two new Nordstrom Rack stores scheduled to open in California in 2027.“This project reflects the strength of Torrance’s public-private partnership model, where long-term land stewardship by the City aligns with private sector leasing and investment to deliver competitive, high-quality retail outcomes, said City of Torrance Mayor George K. Chen”

"Rolling Hills Plaza has been a mainstay in the Torrance and South Bay community for decades and, during this time, has remained focused on curating a diverse and inviting mix of retail, restaurants, entertainment and services to meet the needs of our customers," plaza manager John Mastandrea with La Caze Development Company said.

Rolling Hills Plaza is a premier 500,000-square-foot mixed-use shopping center with nationally recognized retailers including Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Nike, 24 Hour Fitness, and AMC Theatre, and features a diverse mix of popular dining and retail destinations like Sephora, Mendocino Farms, California Pizza Kitchen, Lunasia, Starbucks, and Sidecar Doughnuts.
