Traffic Engineering

The Traffic Engineering Division of Public Works is responsible for maintaining safe and efficient traffic management and circulation throughout the City. Traffic Engineering includes:

  1. Design and review of plans for traffic signals.
  2. Operation, timing, and synchronization of traffic signals.
  3. Design of roadway striping, pavement markings and traffic control devices for vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians.
  4. Design and review of temporary traffic control plans needed for construction projects.
  5. Response to citizen questions related to traffic signals, signs, roadway striping and markings, colored curb markings.

Enforcement

Traffic-related issues such as speeding, parking and other traffic violations, should be reported directly to the Police Department.These matters fall under their jurisdiction and are resolved through enforcement measures.

Report & Request

Report a Maintenance Issue

Report issues with existing signs, pavement markings and striping, curb markings (i.e. missing, damaged, obstructed or faded) or to report a problem with a traffic signal (burned out lights; flashing RED; obstructed from view; etc.).

Submit a New Traffic Request
