The Torrance Torpedoes program develops competitive swimming skills in all four strokes, along with starts, turns, endurance training, and teamwork. For those interested in lifeguarding, the City of Torrance Junior Lifeguards program teaches water safety, rescue skills, and physical conditioning, with a required tryout to ensure readiness.
