The Torrance Police Department received a $175,000.00 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) for a one-year enforcement and education program. The money will fund various activities intended to reduce deaths and injuries on California roads.
On Thursday, September 19, 2019 at approximately 12:03 PM, Torrance Police Officers along with the Torrance Fire Department responded to the 25300 block of Crenshaw boulevard in regard to an airplane that collided into a building.

A press conference will be held at the Torrance Police Department in the downstairs Assembly Room regarding the identification of a suspect in the 46-year-old murder of Terri Lynn Hollis.

On Friday, August 23, 2019 between 8:00 PM and 3:00 AM the following morning, the Torrance Police Department Traffic Division will conduct a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint at an undisclosed location.
On Friday, July 26, 2019 between 8:00 PM and 2:30 AM the following morning, the Torrance Police Department Traffic Unit conducted a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint.
The Torrance Police Department is currently developing a Strategic Plan which will serve as the organization’s roadmap for the next three years. It is vital to get input from our community so we can effectively identify and meet the needs of the residents and businesses we serve.
