The Cultural Arts Commission has been bestowing Excellence in Arts Awards since 1977. These awards recognize individuals, groups, and corporations who make outstanding contributions to the arts in one of the following categories: Dance; Drama & Theatre Arts; Music; Visual Arts & Design; Literary Arts; and Emerging Artist Award. Additionally, the Katy Geissert Award is made to recognize overall exemplary contributions to the arts.

Nominations are accepted during the summer from the community, and the awards are presented in a public reception in October, to coincide with National Arts & Humanities month.

Nomination submissions are closed. Future Excellence of Arts Awards will be announced as future dates are decided. Stay tuned!
