Swim Classes and Lessons

 Class days and times can be found on our class registration page: https://www.torranceca.gov/our-city/cultural-services/registration Torrance residents can register for these classes beginning Tuesday August 12th 2025 at 8:00 a.m. and will fill quickly! Non-residents can register for these classes beginning August 19th 2025 at 8:00 a.m.  Please note that participants signed up for the wrong level will not be eligible for any refund, credit or transfer. 6:00PM to 6:25PM Level 1

Swim Assessment

A swim lesson level assessment will be held for children ages 4-12 prior to the next session of swim lessons for families who are unsure about their child's swim level. Our aquatic staff will assess students and recommend a level based on the assessment. Students need to arrive at the back gate of the pool. The latest arrival time for an assessment will be 1:45 p.m.  Children who arrive later than 1:45pm may not be able to participate in the assessment. Swim assessments will take no longer than 5 minutes per student once they are in the water. After the assessment is complete, you will be asked to leave promptly so that we can assist the next family. Please bring a towel, cap and goggles if desired. If you cannot attend the assessment, please register for the level you think your child is at based on the level descriptions. Students registering for the WRONG LEVEL will be removed from class and will NOT be eligible for any refund, credit or transfer. Swim assessment will be Sunday August 10th 1:15PM - 2:00PM.
