Welcome to the Torrance Plunge!

The Plunge will be closing at 3PM on Saturday March 21st. 

The Victor E. Benstead Plunge has been serving the community since 1956. We are located at 3331 Torrance Boulevard on the corner of Madrona Avenue and Torrance Boulevard. "The Plunge," as commonly referred to,  is a heated Olympic sized 50 x 20 meter outdoor pool, open year round. The pool is divided into two courses; one 25 yard and one 26 meter course. The pool is heated year-round to about 80° to 81°. 

*Please note: natural weather temperatures can affect the pool temperature. 

Fall Drop-In Lap Swim Hours 

Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun 6:45-8:30am

Mon, Wed and Fri 11:00am-2:00pm

Lap Swim is for ages 15 and up. Hours are subject to change.

Fall Recreation Swim Hours

Saturday: 1:30-4:00pm 

Recreation Swim hours are subject to change. 

Pool Admissions 

Cash is not accepted at the Plunge. Payment by credit or debit card only.

A surcharge will be added to all credit and debit card transactions.

 Youth (1-17) $3.00 (must show ID for proof of age for Adult Lap Swim).

 Adult (18 to 49) $5.00

 Senior Citizens (50 and over) $3.00
