Water Wasting Report
As of March 24, 2009, a Water Conservation and Water Supply Shortage Ordinance (Ordinance 3717) that permanently sets restrictions on certain wasteful water uses is in effect.
Current Water Conservation Requirement: LEVEL 1 RESTRICTIONS
LEVEL 1 - WATER USE REQUIREMENTS AND REGULATIONS:
- Watering or irrigating of lawns, landscape or other vegetated areas with potable (drinking) water is prohibited between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., except by use of a hand-held bucket or hand-held hose equipped with a positive self-closing water shut-off nozzle for very short periods.
- Outdoor watering days are limited to no more than 3 days per week.
- Watering or irrigating lawns, landscape other vegetated areas with potable water is limited to no more than 15 minutes watering per day per area or per irrigation station.
- Excessive use , loss or escape of water through breaks, leaks or other malfunctions in the water user’s pluming or distribution system must be corrected as soon as possible and no later than within 7 days of receiving notice from the City.
- The application of potable water to outdoor landscapes during and up to forty eight (48) hours after measurable rainfall prohibited.
Use the following form only to report valid, non-compliant water uses in violation of the current Water Conservation and Water Supply Shortage Ordinance. For Section 3 below, only check off the violations for the CURRENT level listed above. Any levels above the current level will not be enforced.
WE ARE CURRENTLY ON LEVEL 1 RESTRICTIONS AND WILL ONLY ENFORCE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THAT LEVEL. PLEASE DO NOT CHECK OFF REQUIREMENTS FOR LEVEL 2, OR 3 AS THEY ARE NOT ENFORCED AT THIS TIME.
