Project Description

The North Torrance Wellfield Project (NTWFP), Phase 3 will utilize the Design-Build methodology for design and construction for new water infrastructure for the City of Torrance.  The project cost estimate is approximately $11.6 million.  Major components will include the following:

  • Demolition of existing reservoir, pumping and treatment facilities and connections to Well No. 9 at McMaster Park.
  • Construction and equipping of two new wells.
  • Chemical treatment and storage facilities.
  • Booster pump station.
  • A 3-million gallon storage reservoir.
  • Site improvements, equipment, buildings, utilities, and appurtenances to support the operation of the NTWFP.

Project Status

Project currently in construction and is projected to be completed by March 2021.
