The City of Torrance PHA has accepted Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV) as part of an allocation of 70,000 vouchers issued to public housing authorities nationwide, by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The EHVs were allocated as a part of the American Rescue Plan Act, with the intent to provide rental assistance for individuals and families who are:

• Homeless;
• At risk of homelessness;
• Fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking or human trafficking;
• Recently homeless and for whom providing rental assistance will prevent the family’s homelessness or having high risk of housing instability.

City of Torrance PHA is not accepting applications or referrals at this time.
