NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD BEFORE THE CITY OF TORRANCE PLANNING COMMISSION AT 7:00 P.M., JUNE 19, 2019 IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL, 3031 TORRANCE BOULEVARD, TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA, ON THE FOLLOWING MATTERS:
DIV19-00003: Petition of GEORGE SHWEIRI (MICHAEL AND GINA MULLIGAN) for approval of a Division of Lot to allow the subdivision of one parcel into three, on property located in the A-1 Zone at 25633 Crenshaw Boulevard. This project is Categorically Exempt from CEQA per Guidelines Section 15315 – Minor Land Divisions.
CUP19-00011: Petition of SCOTT ELLIOT (STUART SACKLEY) for approval of a Conditional Use Permit to allow the operation of an adult daycare facility, in conjunction with a future food and beverage establishment, within an existing commercial building on property located in the M-2 Zone at 2355 Sepulveda Boulevard. This project is Categorically Exempt from CEQA per Guidelines Section 15301 – Existing Facilities.
CUP18-00030, DIV18-00012, GPA18-00001, WAV18-00013, ZON18-00002 (EAS18-00005): Petition of PLISKA FAMILY PARTNERSHIP for adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration and for approval of a Conditional Use Permit to allow the construction of a new 46-unit apartment complex, composed of two 3-story buildings over semi-subterranean parking, in conjunction with a Division of Lot for lot consolidation purposes, and a Waiver of the front yard setback for the semi-subterranean parking garage, as well as a Zone Change from C-R (Restricted Commercial) to R-4 (Unlimited Multiple-Family Residential) and a General Plan Amendment from General Commercial to Medium-High Density Residential, on properties located in the C-R Zone at 18021–18141 Western Avenue (APNs: 4096-018-004 through -008, and 4096-018-023).
Material can be reviewed in the Community Development Department. All persons interested in the above matter are requested to be present at the hearing or to submit their comments to the Community Development Department, City Hall, 3031 Torrance Boulevard, Torrance, CA 90503.
If you challenge any of the above matters in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Community Development Department or the office of the City Clerk, prior to the public hearing and further, by the terms of Resolution No. 88-19, you may be limited to ninety (90) days in which to commence such legal action pursuant to Section 1094.6 of the Code of Civil Procedure.
