NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD BEFORE THE CITY OF TORRANCE PLANNING COMMISSION AT 7:00 P.M., OCTOBER 16, 2019 IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL, 3031 TORRANCE BOULEVARD, TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA, ON THE FOLLOWING MATTERS:

PRE19-00008, WAV19-00006: Petition of MILES PRITZKAT (DADI RATNAGAR) for approval of a Precise Plan of Development to allow the conversion of existing underfloor area to habitable space in conjunction with a Waiver of the side yard setback requirement at an existing one-story single-family residence, on property located within the Hillside Overlay District in the R-1 Zone at 248 Via los Miradores. This project is Categorically Exempt from CEQA per Guidelines Section 15301 – Existing Facilities and 15305 - Minor Alterations.

 CUP19-00023, DVP19-00002: Petition of TOUCHSTONE CLIMBING INC. (ESCONDIDO MISSION VILLAGE) for approval of a Conditional Use Permit to allow the operation of an indoor recreational facility, in conjunction with a Development Permit to allow exterior renovations of an existing commercial building, on property located in the H-PR Zone at 20120 Hawthorne Boulevard. This project is Categorically Exempt from CEQA per Guidelines Section 15301 – Existing Facilities and 15305 - Minor Alterations.

PRE19-00007: Petition of MIKE AND LYNDA LONGACRE TRS for approval of a Precise Plan of Development to allow a one-story addition to an existing one-story single-family residence, on property located within the Hillside Overlay District in the R-1 Zone at 4813 Paseo de las Tortugas. This project is Categorically Exempt from CEQA per Guidelines Section 15301 – Existing Facilities.

DIV19-00007: Petition of CONTINENTAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (CONTINENTAL SKYPARK, LLC) for approval of a Division of Lot to allow a subdivision of one parcel into two parcels, on property located in the H-MP Zone at 23420 Hawthorne Boulevard. This project is Categorically Exempt from CEQA per Guidelines Section 15315- Minor Land Divisions. 

Material can be reviewed in the Community Development Department.  All persons interested in the above matter are requested to be present at the hearing or to submit their comments to the Community Development Department, City Hall, 3031 Torrance Boulevard, Torrance, CA 90503.

If you challenge any of the above matters in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Community Development Department or the office of the City Clerk, prior to the public hearing and further, by the terms of Resolution No. 88-19, you may be limited to ninety (90) days in which to commence such legal action pursuant to Section 1094.6 of the Code of Civil Procedure.
