Tim Goodrich was elected City Treasurer on June 7, 2022. He was first elected to the Torrance City Council on June 3, 2014, and re-elected on June 5, 2018.

Goodrich previously served as chair of the Finance and Governmental Operations Committee, and a member of the Community Planning and Design Committee, and the Transportation Committee. He also serves as a member of the State Legislative Advocacy. Goodrich also served as chair of the Strategic Plan Committee and the Citizen Development and Enrichment Committee, and was a member of the Finance and Governmental Operations Committee.

Before his election to the City Council, Goodrich actively volunteered in the community, serving as a member of the Torrance Unified School District Citizen Bond Oversight Committee, and as a board member of the Torrance Education Foundation, the Torrance Sister City Association, and the El Camino Parkview Homeowners Association, where he founded a neighborhood watch. Tim also volunteered with the Torrance Police Department and the Torrance Fire Department.

Prior to his community involvement, Goodrich served in the United States Air Force, receiving an honorable discharge after an enlistment that included three deployments to the Middle East. After completing his time in the military, Goodrich pursued education, earning his bachelors in business administration, followed by a master's in public administration and a certificate in political management from the University of Southern California.
