Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Communications Division) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

Seaside Heroes Park Beautification

Volunteer Opportunity: Seaside Heroes Park Conservation Project

Join your neighbors in caring for Seaside Heroes Park. The Conservation Project meets every 2nd Saturday of the month from 8–11 a.m., and volunteers of all ages are welcome. Activities include light park maintenance and the installation of California native plants to support a healthy, sustainable landscape.

The park, located in South Torrance, is named in honor of three young local heroes who grew up in the neighborhood and lost their lives while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. A community‑funded memorial in their honor is located on the right as you enter from Kathryn Avenue.

Sign‑up and task instructions are provided on-site. Student community service forms will be signed after the event.

For questions, please contact event founder and organizer Jenna Christensen at 310‑920‑9387 (text) or homes@cjenna.com.
