Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Communications Division) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

2026 Torrance Lunar New Year Festival & 22nd Chinese American Lunar New Year Show

The South Bay Chinese American Association of California USA invites the community to join us on Sunday, January 11, 2026, for a full day of cultural celebration at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center.

The 2026 Torrance Lunar New Year Festival will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

What to expect:

Dragon & Lion Dance Spectacular 🦁 
High-energy dragon and lion dances, live drumming, cultural demonstrations, and interactive experience zones throughout the festival.

 Hands-On Cultural Experiences ✍️
Enjoy live calligraphy demonstrations with hands-on learning, traditional sugar art and figurine crafting, dumpling-making workshops, and tea ceremony demonstrations.

Live Music & Cultural Entertainment 🎶 
From traditional Chinese performances to modern fusion acts, enjoy an all-day lineup featuring talented local and international artists.

Cosplay & Traditional Outfit Photo Experience 🎭 
Try on traditional attire, explore the cosplay area, and capture memorable moments at our themed photo booth.

Cybertruck Painting Experience 🚗 
A fun, safe, hands-on painting experience where kids can decorate a Cybertruck.

Free Giveaways 🎁 
Festival-wide giveaways and surprises for attendees throughout the day.

Kids Activities & Family Zone 👧

In addition, the ticketed 22nd Chinese American Lunar New Year Show will be held inside the Armstrong Theatre from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, continuing our tradition of a high-quality cultural stage production.
