Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Communications Division) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

Puppet Masters: Characters, Craft & Creativity
WHAT IS IT?: A fun and creative camp where kids learn to build and perform with their own puppets.
WHAT WILL WE DO?: We’ll design and create different types of puppets—like sock, stick, and shadow puppets—and bring them to life with acting, movement, and voice.
WHAT WILL WE LEARN?: Campers will explore voice acting, puppet movement, character building, and storytelling while learning how to perform as puppeteers.
WHAT ARE THE DETAILS?: Each day mixes hands-on puppet-making with performance practice and scene creation in a playful, supportive setting.
WHO TEACHES?: A skilled teaching artist helps campers create, act, and perform with confidence and imagination.
DO WE PERFORM?: Yes! Campers will rehearse fun scenes using their original puppet characters.
IS THERE A FINAL SHOWCASE?: Yes! Families are invited to a cheerful end-of-week performance starring the campers and their handmade puppets.
