Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Communications Division) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

IMPROV ADVENTURES: A CAMP OF SPONTANEOUS FUN!
WHAT IS IT?: A fun, fast-paced drama camp where kids learn the art of improvisation—making up scenes and characters without a script.
WHAT WILL WE DO?: We’ll play silly theatre games, create wacky characters, and make up scenes and stories on the spot. Every idea is a chance to try something new!
WHAT WILL WE LEARN?: Campers will practice quick thinking, listening, teamwork, and creativity—all the basics of great improv.
WHAT ARE THE DETAILS?: Through games and group activities, kids will build scenes with goals, obstacles, and surprise twists—all in a fun, supportive space.
WHO TEACHES?: An experienced teaching artist leads the camp and help kids grow their confidence and stage skills.
DO WE PERFORM?: Yes! Campers will perform their favorite games and scenes at the end of the week.
IS THERE A FINAL SHOWCASE?: Absolutely! Families are invited to a light-hearted, laugh-filled showcase full of camper-created fun.
