Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Communications Division) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

Say Yes: An Improv Camp
WHAT IS IT?: An improv camp, where campers learn to create funny, unscripted scenes on the spot through games and teamwork.
WHAT WILL WE DO?: We’ll play fast-paced improv games, build characters, and create original scenes together—no scripts, just imagination and fun!
WHAT WILL WE LEARN?: Campers will learn the basics of improv: saying “yes, and…,” listening, thinking fast, working as a team, and trusting their instincts.
WHAT ARE THE DETAILS?: This camp is for all experience levels—perfect for beginners or those who want to build confidence and comedy skills in a fun, supportive setting.
WHO TEACHES?: A skilled teaching artist guides campers through games and scenes, helping them grow their creativity and stage presence.
DO WE PERFORM?: Yes! Campers will take the stage in an improv show built from what they’ve practiced all week.
IS THERE A FINAL SHOWCASE?: Definitely! Families are invited to a lively, laugh-filled performance at the end of the week.
