Join us for our restoration program every Saturday from 8:45 a.m. - 12 noon on the Preserve planting natives, weeding, propagating or maybe watering new plants. Wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves and be ready to work. Refreshments are provided. Rain cancels this program. Late comers will be sent away.

Join Cancer Support Community-Redondo Beach (CSC-RB), formerly The Wellness Community-South Bay Cities as they present the second annual “Hops For Health” to raise awareness for Prostate Cancer. This “Men only” fundraising event in partnership with Red Car Brewing Company located at 1266 Sartori Avenue – Torrance, CA will be held on Sunday, August 21, 4-8pm. Bottoms up fellas! Guys will enjoy a fun-filled evening--with delicious pub food, comedians, hole-in-one putting contest and a tour of the brewery from the Brew Master and owner Bob Brandt. The event will also include an exciting live auction hosted by Special Guest--Steve Napolitano, field deputy for L.A. County Supervisor Don Knabe, and an opportunity drawing with the chance to win a trip for two on Southwest Airlines (anywhere they fly). Join the guys for a night of beer and buddies. Sponsors include CSC-RB Circle of Hope Sponsor Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance. Join Cindy Reid every Friday for this educational, fun program called "Friday Fun." This is a hands-on program for preschoolers ages 3-6 years and their parents or guardians. The program is offered at no charge every Friday from 10 -11:30 a.m. The program incorporates story time, science, art and a tour emphasizing the chosen topic. Some weeks there will also be potting or other activities added. Topics (insects, animals or plants) emphasize respect for all living things and prepare children to be good stewards of the planet. 20 kids maximum.
