George Nakano Theatre [Torrance Cultural Arts Center] 3330 Civic Center Drive
This smash comedy hit marked Carol Burnet’s return to Broadway. Playwright Ken Ludwig has created a gem of a show that harkens to the brilliant farces of yesteryear.

Friday, April 22, 2011 | 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM
George Nakano Theatre
George and Charlotte Hay are fading repertory stars who find themselves in Buffalo performing rather stale versions of Cyrano de Bergerac and Private Lives when they learn that Frank Capra is attending the matinee to consider them for his upcoming feature film. In the tradition of the great farces of yesteryear, everything that could possibly go wrong inevitably does. Carol Burnett received a Tony Award nomination in 1996 in the Best Actress category for this zany and charming comedy for theatre lovers everywhere.
