Ivett Garray has an art exhibit called "Winged Whimsey: Avian Visitor's of Madrona Marsh" An Exhibit of Drawings. The exhibit dates are August 26 - October 11, 2008. There is an Artist's Reception on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 6:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m.

City of Torrance employees join together for an evening of homegrown entertainment and humor at this 10th annual amateur variety show. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

For ten years, City of Torrance employees step away once a year from their daily work and onto the theatre stage to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society, more specifically, to help raise start up funds for the annual Torrance Relay for Life Walk. The Walk is a way for communities to participate in a national effort of the American Cancer Society. The 2008 show entitled “The Best of Ten” will feature the most entertaining variety acts from shows throughout the past nine years. Refreshments and opportunity drawing tickets will be available for purchase. Tickets cost $10.00 for all ages and may be purchased at the Box Office (310) 781-7171. All proceeds go towards the fight against cancer.
