Starting June 1, 2012, 50 person limit for this program. You must register to attend. You may register on Saturdays at 12 noon for the following Saturday's Habitat Restoration Program or you may register by contacting the Madrona Marsh Nature Center at 310-782-3989. If you plan to attend with a group each person must individually sign up. If you no show after you have signed up, you may not sign up again for 2 weeks. Join us for our restoration program every Saturday from 8:45 a.m. - 12 noon on the Preserve planting natives, weeding, propagating or maybe watering new plants. Wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves and be ready to work. Refreshments are provided. Rain cancels this program. Late comers will be sent away. If you are 15 years or younger you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The Friends of the Torrance Library are proud to sponsor an afternoon with astronaut Captain Dick Richards. Captain Richards will discuss how astronauts are chosen and trained, as well as his experiences in space. He will be available for questions. This event is free and suitable for all ages, but seating is limited and on a first-come, first-seated basis.
