Playing and singing professionally by the time he was 13, Steve Lucky’s eclectic career has made him one of San Francisco’s most sought after musical exports. Lucky formed his own band in New York City and toured Europe extensively until he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1993. Culling the best of the Bay area’s musicians, Lucky started the Rhumba Bums in 1993 as a quintet, but the band really took shape in 1994 with the addition of Ms. Carmen Getit. Lucky has appeared on PBS CD Highway, Music Television/FOX Locals Only on CBS Good morning America, CNN’s Showbiz with Jim More and the Bravo! documentary This Joint is Jumpin’.

Although reminiscent of his father’s, Herb’s style is distinct and recognizable as his own. As a teacher, composer, recording artist and producer, Herb shares the beauty of Hawaii’s music, its culture, and the wonders of the ukulele all over the world. A seven-time Na Hoku Hanohano Award Nominee and a two-time Hawaiian Music Award Winner, Herb has two releases in Japan and co-authored two ukulele instructional books with Grammy Award winning artists Daniel Ho.
