Hey everyone! APC Fine arts and Graphics Gallery will be hosting a brand new exhibit called "Making a Mark" this coming January in Old Torrance, just south of Los Angeles. We encourage anyone and everyone to stop by and check it out, especially if you're from the South Bay! Our featured artists will be on site to interact with visitors and talk about their pieces, many of which will be available for purchase (but please don't feel pressured to do so). This is a great chance to have a good time and network/mingle with other artists and art enthusiasts in the LA area. Even if you're new to the art scene or just have nothing to do on a Saturday night, we would love for you to stop by and say "hello"! Our goal is bringing more attention to art in the South Bay and helping build a stronger art community in the area. We hope you will come and be a part of it! The exhibit kicks off with a reception Saturday, January 19th from 4-7 pm Admission is (of course) free to all APC Fine Arts and Graphics Gallery 1621 Cabrillo Ave, Torrance, CA 90501 (Located just west of the intersection of Western and Torrance blv) Featured artists are: Dan Dickman: dandickman.com/ Ron Libbrecht: apcgallerypages.wordpress.com/ron-libbrecht/ Dina Djabieva: facebook.com/ArtbyDinara

Big Drum/Small World merges a broad range of musical ideas and celebrated artistic collaboration and stylistic amalgamation. Always an inclusive, unifying art form, jazz has vividly reflected our collective national character and diverse culture dynamism. In line with this tradition, Big Drum/Small World aims to show how jazz continues to unite us and exemplify our increasingly interdependent world. This immersive, globally themed program features performances of internationally recognized jazz composers from places as diverse as West Africa, Israel, Cuba, Puerto Rico, India, and the Untied States. Each piece is inspired by elements of American jazz and the indigenous music of each composer’s country of origin.
