This box office Rodgers and Hammerstein musical smash has all the elements of a true big musical. The love triangle between Curly and Laurey move the story to a climax of death, trial, and in the end, singing for joy. With songs like, “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning”, “People Will Say We’re in Love”, and “Kansas City”, audiences will be swept away once again by this lovely and lively musical.

The City of Torrance Community Services Department invites participants aged 5-9 to come join the fun at the Mini Kids Club at El Retiro Park! Children will have the opportunity to participate in structured activities such as crafts, cooking and games. The fee for Mini Kids Club is $50 for residents and $55 a session for non-residents. Mini Kids Club operates June 23-August 28, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., in 2 week sessions, Mondays and Wednesdays and Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The City of Torrance Community Services Department invites the public to stop in for fun at the parks this Summer. Recreation staff will be leading and supervising activities and crafts at no cost! Young children should be accompanied by an adult, as this is a drop in program where children can come and go as they please.

8 Elementary Schools and 7 Middle Schools throughout Torrance
The After School Club Program is geared towards youth in elementary and middle schools. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression. The program offers games, sports, music, group discussions, guest speakers and a wide variety of activities. Structured time is set aside for homework each day. This is not a tutorial based program. This program is based on a ratio of one staff member per ten youth at Elementary School and one staff member per thirteen youth at Middle Schools. Enrollment is limited at all schools. All participants must be a student at the school for which they are registering and also must be picked up by an adult, age 18 or older. Resident walk-in registration begins August 19, 2014. 2014.
