Southeast Library, 23115 S. Arlington Ave.
The Southeast Library will close one hour early, at 7:00 p.m., in order for staff to conduct a drill of Area Disaster Center responsibilities. In a disaster, Torrance's branch libraries act as Area Disaster Centers, providing information on current conditions, and a contact point to report assistance needs. Staff and volunteers will be practicing this important task. To learn about Area Disaster Centers, see: http://www.torranceca.gov/TPD/9950.htm. For more information, please contact Library Administration at 310-618-5950.

El Retiro Library, 126 Vista Del Parque, Redondo Beach
The El Retiro Library will be closed for approximately two months to undergo ADA improvements. The project will include modification of the public restroom and library entry. While El Retiro Library is closed, other Torrance Library locations will be open for your reading, reference, and recreational needs. Print and audiovisual materials may be returned in the outside drops or at any other Torrance Library location. Toddler storytime will resume in the winter session, and the book discussion group will meet at Walteria Library in October.
