Join Cancer Support Community-Redondo Beach, as they present “Suds and Staches” to commemorate “Movember” (mustache growing month) and raise awareness for Men’s Cancers. This “Men only” fundraising event in partnership with Red Car Brewery and Restaurant located at 1266 Sartori Avenue,Torrance, CA will be held on Sunday, November 17, from 5 to 8pm. Bottoms up fellas! Guys will enjoy a fun-filled evening with delicious pub food, best mustache contest, hole-in-one putting contest and a tour of the brewery from the Brew Master and owner Bob Brandt. The event will also include a silent auction and an opportunity drawing with the chance to win a great prize. Join the guys for a night of beer and buddies. Reservations are $75.00 per person. The City of Torrance and the Water Replenishment District are providing a series of innovative Eco Gardener Water Efficient Gardening Workshops on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Madrona Marsh Nature Center.
Participants can register for all workshops or individual sessions.
Other workshops in this series for 2013: December 4-Drip & Sprinkler Care, December 11-Vegetable & Gruit Gardening, and December 18-Sustainable Landescape Care.
