Torrance Cultural Art Center, Toyota Meeting Hall 3330 Civic Center Drive (Next to Ken Miller Recreation Center)
The City of Torrance Community Services invites you to a pancake breakfast and a visit with Santa at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, with entertainment featuring a puppet show by Jim Gamble Puppet Productions and music by DJ Ozzie. Tickets are $20.00 a person and Torrance Residents can make reservations by phone (310) 618-2720 or in person at the Registration Office in the West Annex of City Hall 3031 Torrance Blvd, (two buildings east of the Library) on the following dates: November 19-December 2, 2013 The registration office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will be closed on Thursday, November 28, Friday, November 29 and Friday, December 13.

WINTER CAMP: The City of Torrance Community Services Department invites participants ages 6-11 to spend Winter Break at Greenwood Park participating in indoor crafts, outdoor games, and walking field trips Monday, December 30, 2013, Thursday, January 2, 2014, 2010 and Friday, January 3, 2014 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fees for Winter Fun Camp are $78 for residents and $88 for non-residents. Camp t-shirts are $7 and must be worn on field trips. TEEN CAMP:Think you are too cool for camp? Then check out Winter Teen Camp where you will enjoy indoor crafts, games, and walking field trips with other teens your age and walking field trips, Monday, December 30, 2013, Thursday, January 2, 2014, 2010 and Friday, January 3, 2014 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fees for Winter Teen Camp are $84 for residents. Camp t-shirts are $7 and must be worn on field trips. EXTENDED CARE: Is available for both Fun Camp and Teen Camp. Morning Care is 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Fees are $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents. After Care is 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Fees are for $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents.

Madrona Marsh Nature Center and Preserve, 3201 Plaza Del Amo, Torrance
Join the Propagation Society and Linda Gonzales as we plant seeds for the future of the Madrona Marsh Preserve. Learn how to: prepare soil for planting on the marsh, grow native plants for restoration and fund raising events at the Madrona Marsh, 'pot up' plants to larger containers, collect and 'clean' seeds and prune native plants in the nursery. This program occurs every Thursday of every month from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Best for adults and college age students. Ages 21+. Free! The After School Club Program is geared towards youth in elementary and middle schools. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression. The program offers games, sports, music, group discussions, guest speakers and a wide variety of activities. Structured time is set aside for homework each day. This is not a tutorial based program. This program is based on a ratio of one staff member per ten youth at Elementary School and one staff member per thirteen youth at Middle Schools. Enrollment is limited at all schools. All participants must be a student at the school for which they are registering and also must be picked up by an adult, age 18 or older. Resident walk-in registration begins August 19, 2013. Non-resident walk-in registration begins August 26, 2013.
