Bearing an ever-expanding repertoire of, as she puts it, “obscure, lovely and naughty songs from the 1910s and ‘20s and ‘30s,” Janet Klein is a musical archeologist hiding in the body of an F. Scott Fitzgerald heroine. Her music is as timeless as her personality. Dinner will be available from the Red Car Brewery.

Are your children curious? Have they ever wondered how or why something is the way it is? In desperation, you do a quick search on the internet, only to find an answer that even you don’t understand. Science doesn’t have to be confusing or scary…it’s actually fun. In this lively, interactive performance, you can introduce your kids to the magic of science. They will not only be entertained but they will also learn something (shhh, don’t tell them)…and so might you. Come early or stay late and take part in an exciting science project provided by Exxon Mobil volunteers.

Back by popular demand with a brand new show created in part by kids from Torrance! Story Pirates celebrates creative writing by students from coast to coast in a loud, hilarious musical sketch performed by professional improvisers and musicians. The show is based entirely on stories written by elementary school students, and part of the show is made up on the spot by the kids in the audience. Story Pirates will delight and surprise with puppets, enlivening songs, and outrageous sketches, all the while motivating kids to pick up a pencil and write down their own fantastic adventures. Story plots run the gamut from kung fu ninja babies fighting crime, to flying cats and tickle monsters who rule the world.
