Torrance Certified Farmers' Market
|

In Celebration of the City's Centennial, Judi Gerber, author of Farming in Torrance and the South Bay, will be at the Torrance Certified Farmers' Market to share the stories of the men and women who once farmed Torrance.
Souvenir informational handouts and sweet, fresh-picked strawberries will be given to those who stop by the booth for a listen. Books will also be available for purchase and signing. The booth will be located in the center of the Farmers' Market, and will have the Torrance Centennial Banner displayed next to it.
Judi will highlight how family farmers, throughout the early years, contributed to the City’s economy by raising cattle, pigs, turkeys, as well as sugar beets, alfalfa, beans, hay, oats, barley and flowers.
