Starting June 1, 2012, 50 person limit for this program. You must register to attend. You may register on Saturdays at 12 noon for the following Saturday's Habitat Restoration Program or you may register by contacting the Madrona Marsh Nature Center at 310-782-3989. If you plan to attend with a group each person must individually sign up. If you no show after you have signed up, you may not sign up again for 2 weeks. Join us for our restoration program every Saturday from 8:45 a.m. - 12 noon on the Preserve planting natives, weeding, propagating or maybe watering new plants. Wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves and be ready to work. Refreshments are provided. Rain cancels this program. Late comers will be sent away. If you are 15 years or younger you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

4th Saturday and Sunday of every month from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Take a guided walk on the Madrona Marsh Preserve and learn about the flora and fauna that live in our captivating Vernal Marsh. You'll see how living things interact in their habitat and learn the value of wetlands in our urban environment. Free! Donations accepted. Bring your own lawn chair, blankets, popcorn, hot chocolate, family, and friends to enjoy a movie about a panda with competition dreams shown under the stars! Show begins at dusk (approximately 8 p.m.) but come early to get a good spot on the lawn, enjoy a picnic, and take advantage of the park on a warm summer night. Part of the Library's Dream Big READ! Summer Reading Program. This program is free, presented by the Community Services Department in association with local homeowners associatons.
