In honor of the 100th Anniversary of the City of Torrance, the Library will present a special two part series on the history of Torrance!
Join Mike George, Reference Librarian and Torrance Historical Society Board member, for an informative romp through the history of Torrance. Using newspapers, photographs, and other sources, Mike will present an informative and light-hearted look at the unique and often surprising history of our city.
This event is free and no registration is required.

Torrance Woman’s Club (TWC) members will host a tea and a Centennial fashion show at the clubhouse. TWC members have been serving the community since 1921 and would greatly appreciate the chance to celebrate the Torrance Centennial.

View over 200 member quilts and garments on display in the Quilt Gallery and browse through the many quilting supplies from your favorite vendors. Sunday, a miniature quilt auction will take place at 1 p.m. and an opportunity quilt will be raffled off at 4 p.m.
