Friday, October 18, 2013 | 7:30 PM
George Nakano Theatre [Torrance Cultural Arts Center] 3330 Civic Center Drive
Listening to Joel’s keyboard virtuosity combined with his warm and inviting vocal style (often compared to Al Jarreau and Bobby McFerrin) is like tasting gumbo for the very first time. There are so many delicious flavors happening all at once! It is like a quarter cup of World music, blended with a pinch of Rock, and a dash of Pop, all held together with the main seasoning of Contemporary Jazz!

James Armstrong Theatre [Torrance Cultural Arts Center] 3330 Civic Center Drive
Enjoy an eclectic blend of World, Pop, and Jazz music performed by premier musicians to create a kaleidoscope of sound unlike anything you may have heard before.

Saturday, October 19, 2013 | (All Day)
El Retiro Library, 126 Vista Del Parque, Redondo Beach
The El Retiro Library will be closed for approximately two months to undergo ADA improvements. The project will include modification of the public restroom and library entry. Print and audiovisual materials may be returned in the outside drops or at any other Torrance Library location. Toddler storytime will resume in the winter session, and the book discussion group will meet at Walteria Library in October. James Armstrong Theatre [Torrance Cultural Arts Center] 3330 Civic Center Drive
The Diavolo Dance Theatre Education Company’s work T.R.U.S.T. celebrates and explores this quintessential component of the Diavolo aesthetic.
