Torrance, CA - The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors cordially invite you to attend this grand luncheon event on January 19, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., hosted by Sunrider International 1625 Abalone Avenue. A celebration to usher in the Year of the Dragon, featuring buffet style catering, unique and cultural festivities, honorary guests from the Torrance Area and Chinese business communities, special performances, and a traditional Lion Dance. This is an official Torrance Centennial event. It is proudly sponsored by Sunrider International, Daily Breeze, Toyota Motor Sales, Inc., Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance, Torrance Memorial Medical Center, and Tran Medical, Inc. Torrance Cultural Arts Center's Toyota Meeting Hall
The TCtv Awards, also known as the "Stanley's," were named in honor of the late Stanley E. Remelmeyer, Torrance's former City Attorney who was instrumental in the development of cable television in the City. Through the awards ceremony, the City encourages quality programming by the community and introduces the public to the purpose and benefits of public access television. The City of Torrance has provided public access to its residence since 1987.

If you like your jazz and blues with a taste of Billie Holiday, Ernestine Anderson, and Shirley Horn, then you won’t want to miss this performance. Referred to by Downbeat Magazine as “a young Billie Holiday, Frances has emerged as a performer with her own unique singing style.” With her voice and an ability to please audiences and make a lasting impression, Frances has toured internationally and has worked with some of the jazz greats. Dinner will be available from Red Car Brewery.
