Also many of the great downtown restaurants and shops are open with Street Faire specials. Antique appraisals available by Dave Brownlee and his crew of experts for only $3.00 per item. The downtown Torrance Antique Street Faire is held on the 4th Sunday of every month in historic downtown Torrance. Over 200 sellers set up in the streets with antiques, collectibles, furniture, vintage clothes, jewelry, pottery, arts & crafts, home decor and more...all on sale at bargain prices! There are also many antique and specialty shops open and lots of great restaurants, bakery, market and sports bars. Take a guided walk on the Madrona Marsh Preserve and learn about the flora and fauna that live in our captivating vernal marsh. You'll see how living things interact in their habitat and learn the value of wetlands in our urban environment. This walk occurs on the 4th Saturday and 4th Sunday of every month from 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon. All are welcome! Great for seniors. Free! Donations accepted. Torrance Historical Society & Museum - 1345 Post Ave., Old Torrance
The Torrance Historical Society is hosting a free docent-led Walking Tour of Old Torrance, and you're invited! The Tour will point out many of the historic sites and landmarks of Old Torrance. The tour is an easy, but brisk walk covering eight blocks. It's open to the public, requires no reservations, and is hosted on the fourth Sunday of every month, May - October. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Bring your camera, and a friend!

Madrona Marsh Nature Center and Preserve, 3201 Plaza Del Amo, Torrance
In the hundred years since an unknown patent clerk from Switzerland published his theories on space and time, mass and energy, and light and gravity, Einstein's theory of relativity has reshaped our univers and our view of reality. This class is especially designed for kids interested in science. Most students' finish the class with a clear understanding of Einstein's General and Special Theory of Relativity as well as some of the history that lead to these important theories. This 2-day program will occur on the 24th & 25th Saturday and Sunday of this month only from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. $30 per child to attend both classes. Space is limited to 25 children.
