The Torrance Firefighters along with Chef Michael Shafer are hosting Old Torrance Festival Day There will be a live band, carnival games, vintage fire apparatus, chili cook off, bake sale, local restaurant food court. We are also presenting our "Bring a Hero to Lunch" auction, allowing a school, business, group, or special event to have a Firefighter respectfully attend and contribute where needed. All the proceeds will be donated to the South Bay Police & Fire Memorial Foundation and the Torrance Relay For Life.

Join Cindy Reid every Friday for this educational, fun program called "Friday Fun." This is a hands-on program for preschoolers ages 3-6 years and their parents or guardians. The program is offered at no charge every Friday from 10 -11:30 a.m. The program incorporates story time, science, art and a tour emphasizing the chosen topic. Some weeks there will also be potting or other activities added. Topics (insects, animals or plants) emphasize respect for all living things and prepare children to be good stewards of the planet. 20 kids maximum. Join us for our restoration program every Saturday from 8:45 a.m. - 12 noon on the Preserve planting natives, weeding, propagating or maybe watering new plants. Wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves and be ready to work. Refreshments are provided. Rain cancels this program. Late comers will be sent away. If you are 15 years or younger you must be accompnied by a parent or guardian.
