This Thursday March 7th we have national clown troupe THE FOUR CLOWNS coming to entertain and interact with the crowd. Also accomplished singer, songwriter and percussionist Stacy Robin will be providing live music. Face painter Yoona Cha of Jollyfish will be at the market offering creative face art with family friendly designs. All this plus our arts & crafts booths, jewelry, antique appraisals and happy hour specials at the downtown restaurants. Come check out this fun community event! The Western Museum of Flight (WMoF) WMoF Celebrity Series welcomes Barry Tyson, long time Garrett AiResearch executive. Although the company has gone thru numerous name changes, the founderís name, Garrett, the value of Cliff Garrett and Garrett AiResearch canít be overlooked. Garrett AiResearch (founded in 1936), had to relocate (1959) from their facilities to make room for expansion of LAX. Garrett moved to 190th and Crenshaw in Torrance. GAR started with military aircraft turbines but became known for as a major innovator and supplier in the airline industry. Turbo engines, turbo fans, foil bearings, heat transfer and even the first inflatable airliner evacuation slides. Join us as Tyson shares some fascinating insights into the history and achievements of this quintessential American institution. As always, WMoF Members are free; non-members are $5, which also includes access to WMoF museum exhibits. Free parking. Enjoy the Celebrity Series? The Torrance Youth Council will be sponsoring their 27th Annual Spring Boutique. The boutique will feature one of a kind handcrafted items. Their will a childrens craft area and photos can be taken with the Giant Bunny for a nominal fee. Proceeds from this event will go toward the Youth Council's scholarship program "Beat the Odds." Which provides scholarships to graduating seniors who have beaten the odds to graduate. Come by and purchase that St. Patricks Day, Easter, Mother's Day or Father's Day gift! Support Torrance's youth. We are currently accepting application to participate in the Spring Boutique.
