Resident fax-in and mail-in registration is July 17-30, 2012.
The After School Program is geared towards youth in elementary and middle schools. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression. The program offers games, sports, music, group discussions, guest speakers and a wide variety of activities. Structured time is set aside for homework each day. This is not a tutorial based program.
This program is based on a ratio of one staff member per ten youth at Elementary School and one staff member per thirteen youth at Middle Schools. Enrollment is limited at all schools.
PLEASE NOTE: The After School Club Program is designed for Torrance Residents. Torrance residents will have the first opportunity to register for the program. After the resident registration, Non-Torrance residents will have an opportunity to register for any remaining spaces.
The After School Club Program follows the TUSD calendar and meets on campus Monday-Friday after school until 6:00 p.m. The program is offered at the following schools:

Non-resident walk-in registration begins August 28, 2012.

Torrance Summer Camps will hold 10 weekly sessions from Monday, June 18, 2012 to Friday, August 24, 2012, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Fees range from $125 to $155 per week.
Fun Camp, for ages 6-11, is held at
Greenwood Park and La Romeria Park.
Teen Camp, for ages 12-14, is held at Greenwood Park.
Sports Camp, for ages 7-13, is held at Wilson Park.
Extended Care is also available for Camps. Morning Care is 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Fees are $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents. After Care is 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Fees are for $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents.

"Friday Fun" is a hands-on program for preschoolers, ages 3-6 years and their parents or guardians. The program will be offered at no charge every Friday from 10-12:00 p.m. The program will incorporate story time, science, art and a tour emphasizing the chosen topic. Some weeks there will also be potting or other activities. The topics emphasize respect for all living things and prepare the children (and parents) to be good stewards of the planet. Free!
