Starting June 1, 2012, 50 person limit for this program. You must register to attend. You may register on Saturdays at 12 noon or you may register by calling the Nature Center at; (310)782-3989. If you plan to attend with a group each person must individually sign up. If you no show after you have signed up, you may not sign up again for 2 weeks.
Join us for our restoration program every Saturday from 8:45 a.m. - 12 noon on the Preserve planting natives, weeding, propagating or maybe watering new plants. Wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves and be ready to work. Refreshments are provided. Rain cancels this program. Late comers will be sent away. If you are 15 years or younger you must be accompnied by a parent or guardian.

It is operated in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works.
The Beginning Workshop teaches backyard composting, worm composting, grass recycling, water-wise gardening, and fire-wise gardening.

Featured will be native plants that provide food, color and attract beneficial insects to the edibles garden. Classes include a walk in the Madrona Native Plant Gardens, where students can see the featured plants.
