Join us for our Habitat Restoration Program every Saturday from 8:45 a.m. - 12 noon on the Madrona Marsh Preserve planting natives, weeding, propagating or maybe watering new plants. Wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves and be ready to work. Refreshments are provided. Rain or holiday cancels this program. Be on time - late comers will not be able to work. Please join CSUDH professor Dr. Connie Vadheim for entertaining and educational classes on various native plant topics. Every month is a different topic. Never the same class twice! This class is held the 1st Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and repeats that following Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Topics range from 'edible seeds and berrys' to 'Chaparrel Communites and Pruning techniques'. This months topic is: hide that ugly wall- tricks to using native plants as camouflage. After each presentation, Connie will lead the class through the Madrona Marsh Nature Center's Native Plant Garden to illustrate key points and further discussion. Handouts are included.
