Visiting artists include Ballet Yuma’s celebrated director and choreographer, Jon Cristofori; as well as Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre’s artistic director and award-winning choreographer, Robert Kelley. This class occurs the 1st Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon and repeats the following 1st Tuesday of every month from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Every month is a different topic - never the same class twice! Topic's range from 'Edible Seeds and Berries' to 'Chaparral Communities and Pruning Techniques'. This month's topic is Warfare in the Garden: how plants protect themselves from pests and invasions. Best to register on Tuesday for that week's Friday Fun Program. The program will incorporate story time, science, art and a tour emphasizing the chosen topic. Some weeks there will also be potting and other activities. The topics emphasize respect for all living things and prepare the children (and parents) to be good stewards of the planet.
