A special exhibit, presented by the Fluorescent Mineral Society, will display the beautiful colors of rocks from all over the world under ultraviolet lights. This exhibit is one of the most comprehensive and varied collections of fluorescent minerals you will ever see in one place. There will also be ‘how to’ demonstrations such as bead working, sphere making, gem carving, glass bead making, workshops for children, and more.

The program is offered at no charge every Friday from 10 -11:30 a.m. The program incorporates story time, science, art and a tour emphasizing the chosen topic. Some weeks there will also be potting or other activities added. Topics (insects, animals or plants) emphasize respect for all living things and prepare children to be good stewards of the planet. 20 kids maximum. Fees for Spring Fun Camp are $125 for residents and $145 for non-residents. Camp t-shirts are $7 and must be worn on field trips. Morning and afternoon care are available for an additional fee.
EXTENDED CARE: Is available for both Fun Camp and Teen Camp. Morning Care is 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Fees are $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents. After Care is 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Fees are for $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents.
Resident registration begins February 28, 2012. Non-Resident registration begins March 6, 2012.

Children and caregivers are encouraged to wear their pajamas and bring special pillows and blankets to this evening family storytime.
